Scripture Memory

This page is dedicated to scripture that I am committing to memorize.  I encourage anyone and everyone to join me in writing these verses upon our hearts.  Please post comments on how these (or other) verses have influenced your life.

Psalm 100:3 — Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;  We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Zephaniah 3:17 — The Lord your God is with you, He is might to save.  He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.   

August 24, 2007:  Isaiah 50:4-5 — The Sovereign LORD has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary.  He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.  The Sovereign LORD has opened my ears, and I have not been rebellious; I have not drawn back.

August 21, 2007: Joshua 1:9 — Have I not commanded you, be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. 

Aug. 18, 2007: Phillippians 2:14-16a — “Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like starts in the universe as you hold out the word of life…” 

 Aug. 16, 2007: I Thessalonians 5:23-24– “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through.  May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  (24) The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.”
