Monday Prayer: Lord, Sanctify My Speech..

I desire to do your will, O my God, your law is within my heart. (Ps. 40:8)

Thank you for wakening me today to your presence.  Train my ear to listen to you in openness and acceptance and give me an instructed tongue that knows your word.  (Is. 50:4)

Lord, keep me from quarreling with those that I love the most.  Help me to break down the gates of self-protection that so often keep me from truly and unconditionally loving my family and those around me. (Prov. 17:19)

Father, bind my tongue from speaking words that are not pleasing to you.  Teach me to speak gently to my children, lovingly to my husband, and kindly to my friends and those who I meet throughout my days so that THEIR needs may be met. (Eph. 4:29)

Lord, keep me from wasting my days in selfish ‘what-if’s’.  Teach me instead to seek peace, to pursue peace, to turn from evil, and to keep my lips from deceitful speech so that my days can be filled with love and joy. (I. Peter 3:10-11)

May my words be pleasing to you, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer! (Ps. 19:14)

About Sarah

I love being wife to my sweetie, mama and teacher to my three wonderful children, and friend to people near and far. I love to express myself through words. I blog to connect with others and so that someday, hopefully, my kiddos will understand who their mama was...way back when.

This was great. I think I’m going to print this out and post it where hopefully my eyes will see it before my mouth opens.

This special prayer was/is such a blessing to my heart this morning. Knowing that this truly is the desire of your heart, makes it all the more meaningful to me. May we, as women, truly bring a smile to God’s heart today in all we do and say! – Love, Mom
