No. 2: The gift I didn’t know I wanted…

My sweetie and I have a son, Jonah. Finding out I was pregnant with him was a very big surprise. When I found out, I couldn’t imagine my life with a child. I just didn’t see myself as a mom.

The day he was born, a friend was holding him. When he started to cry, it took a second before I realized why she was handing him back to me.

Now I can’t imagine not being a mom and I can’t imagine life without Jonah. He has taught me to play more, to laugh more, to cuddle more, and to let go more.

He’s the “peace” in “my peace and joy.” And he’s one of the best gifts I have ever received.

About Sarah

I love being wife to my sweetie, mama and teacher to my three wonderful children, and friend to people near and far. I love to express myself through words. I blog to connect with others and so that someday, hopefully, my kiddos will understand who their mama was...way back when.
