True Security…

“In particular, the Christian whose worldview is shaped by Scripture will have a sense of self-identity different from the world’s. Knowing that she is loved by God with a love she did nothing to earn (and which, therefore, she can do nothing to forfeit, Romans 8:31-39), she will face life with a deep sense of security. Being aware that God has equipped her to participate meaningfully in the outworking of the eternal purposes of God (Ephesians 2:10; I Peter 4:10-11), she has a clear grasp of her personal worth.”

Emphasis added. Quote from: Decision Making and the Will of God by Garry Friesen, Pg. 123.

I read this quote last April and marked it to remember. And then I forgot it. Now almost a year later, reading it again under very different circumstances, it again stirs my heart and comforts me.

About Sarah

I love being wife to my sweetie, mama and teacher to my three wonderful children, and friend to people near and far. I love to express myself through words. I blog to connect with others and so that someday, hopefully, my kiddos will understand who their mama was...way back when.
