Gratitude: Week 5

36. a glance out the window catching the sight of a child, temporarily taller than me, enjoying the still-piled-high snow that dwindles a bit more each day

37. recovering Abby’s snow stake, missing-in-action amongst the snow piles, waiting to be discovered again on a warmer winter day

38. colorful mugs that hold and display warmth

39. volunteers willing to spend their time enriching the lives of children — mine and others

40. roses, eucalyptus, and baby’s breath collecting on the kitchen table, reminding of the blessing of marriage.

41. the quiet sounds of life that are often masked by the many appliances that require electricity

42. the rumble of thunder on a dark wintry night jolting my memory back to summer evenings in Oklahoma

43. the clomp of feet and fragments of drifting words that pass by our door multiple times each day, reminding of the community that exists around us

44. my breadmaker producing warm, tasty, fresh bread with so little effort

45. fearing that I might forget to see and remember, that my Monday post will be blank; breathing a prayer for help and having moment after moment flash through my mind

About Sarah

I love being wife to my sweetie, mama and teacher to my three wonderful children, and friend to people near and far. I love to express myself through words. I blog to connect with others and so that someday, hopefully, my kiddos will understand who their mama was...way back when.
