When he was starting high school…

…I was still in elementary school. Not Junior High, elementary school. Yep, as I have always maintained, my sweetie robbed the craddle! 🙂 After all, he is 4 years, 10 months and 14 days older than me. Which means that after 43 days of closeness, today we are once again 5-whole-years-apart! What can I say…I’m a young’un.

Now that my sweetie is going to refuse to speak to me for the rest of his birthday…

Actually, he better speak to me, because right this moment I’m baking him a cake. Because I love him!

Thank you Mama D. and Papa for raising such a wonderful, sweet, caring, strong, determined man. I may be his encourager, but you are the parents that raised him into the man that I fell madly in love with.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SCOTT!!! I LOVE YOU AND I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!

About Sarah

I love being wife to my sweetie, mama and teacher to my three wonderful children, and friend to people near and far. I love to express myself through words. I blog to connect with others and so that someday, hopefully, my kiddos will understand who their mama was...way back when.

Happy Birthday, Scott! Just want you to know that for your b-day, I’m coming to pick up our deep fryer tomorrow. 🙂 Will you be around?

  5. Sarah says:

    Jenn: Yes, I’ll be around. Scott is in class…and working…and studying…but I’m around! 🙂

Ashely and Mama Z: Thanks for the birthday wishes for Scott. I’ll pass them on to him since I’m pretty sure he’s avoiding this post due to the teasing about his age! 😉

Papa: I know! And the look of pride on her face as she is “spelling”…priceless. Actually, from the sounds of it, Kim should be entering Caleb!!!

Happy (belated) Birthday, Scott! I knew I should have posted to this the first time I read it! I knew you would be in class, so I figured we’d call after Dad got home. However, a ‘quick’ trip to get a prescription for Dad, and a stop to meet the new ‘grandpigs’ (Spot and Polka-Dot) at your sister’s house, got us home after 9 and I didn’t want to wake up the babies!!! So we will try it again tonight! Hope you enjoyed your cake. I’m sure Jonah & Abby did! Talk to you soon!
    Love & Happy Birthday!

    By the way, Ms. Sarah,
I was in 5th grade the year Dad graduated from High School. So if you were in grade school when Sweetie started HS, you’re in good shape! But hey….. 37, 38 years later, who even notices!!!!

Got my suitcase half packed!! Turning in my school keys today. Almost ready for vacation to begin!!!!

  8. oh my gosh i had no idea he was that old.

  9. Mom says:

Ohhhh, But with age comes WISDOM!!! Go for it Scott!
    We couldn’t have a more wonderful son-in-law!
    Love you –
    Dad & Mom
PS: It is so beautiful in Idaho right now – the only time of year the desert is green! Wish you all were here!
